“Daggaboy” meaning Buffalo Bull, was born through the inspiration of Hunting Outfitter and Professional Hunter Gerhard Vos.

Gerhard grew up on a hunting farm in South- Africa where he was also raised to be a guide from the age of 12. For the following 20 years he guided several hundred local and international hunters. Growing up in a Christian family, he was taught that hunting is not only about killing animals but rather hunt to utilize and conserve.

His passion for the outdoors started when the young Gerhard at the age of 6 took his first trophy impala and from there on several big five and numerous other species which came into the cross hair of his rifle. The highlight of his hunting career was at age 14 when his father took him deep into the Botswana deltas where they tracked down a herd of buffalo and shot the most dangerous of them all, a “Dagga Boy”.
